Ayurvedic Yoga Massage School London is a specialist massage training provider offering high quality professional massage therapist training and a range of short massage courses with the aim of making your journey into the world of learning Ayurvedic Yoga Massage enjoyable and enlightening.  Courses are part-time in person in Islington, and the AYM professional diploma course also includes some online learning.

Your tutor, Debbie, learnt Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in India and was so impressed with the impact of this form of massage, and the high level of satisfaction of clients with their experience, that she is passionate about sharing the techniques with a new generation of massage therapists and enthusiasts.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a unique style of Indian massage that has its origins in Pune where it was created by Kusum Modak. It combines the best elements of traditional Ayurvedic massage and Iyengar yoga to create a powerful, varied and rewarding oil massage that impresses all who receive it with its thoroughness, diversity and depth of impact.

AYM uses a variety of techniques to warm up the muscular system, to improve the blood and lymph circulation, to align the musculoskeletal system, and increase vital energy (prana).  In this mat-based massage, hands and feet are used as tools with the use of feet allowing for a more thorough deep tissue massage effect.  A combination of passive yoga stretches are included to help the mobility of the joints and to release tension in the muscles. Pure organic vegetable oil is used for the massage together with calamus powder, an Ayurvedic medicinal ingredient, helping to balance the body elements (doshas), improve circulation and release toxins. At the end of the session the receiver feels
deeply relaxed and rejuvenated.

Student feedback:

"Debbie is an amazing teacher. Her Ayurvedic Yoga Massage courses are well documented and thoroughly put together so that each step of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is made easy. Debbie is great at providing individual feedback. She is good at answering questions about AYM and always puts you in the right direction for further deeper understanding of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. I really enjoyed her courses. I felt relaxed and the learning of the different sequences of the massage was made easy through practice and repetition. Debbie has hands and feet made of gold and she is amazing at what she does. She puts a lot of effort in to ensure that everything around the AYM course is understandable and understood. Debbie’s AYM learning programme has given me a lot of inspiration and enthusiasm about becoming myself an Ayurvedic holistic therapist. All my gratitude goes to Debbie who taught me this art of massage that brings a sense of openness and well-being on a physical, mental and emotional level. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a massage that fuses together elements of deep tissue massage, assisted yoga based stretches and breath work. Many thanks Debbie again for this amazing Ayurvedic Yoga Massage course. All the best"                              Manuella
